Jekta’s PHA-ZE 100 flying boat was born from India’s vision for water-based regional mobility and is now driving growing demand across the Middle East and Southeast Asia with its modern, sustainable amphibious design.

Jekta’s vision for the future of amphibious aviation has roots in an unexpected place: India. As CEO George Alafinov recounts, early discussions with the Indian government in 2018—focused on unlocking regional mobility through the nation’s lakes and rivers—became the spark that led to the development of the PHA-ZE 100 flying boat. Built on modern materials, hydrogen-electric propulsion and a distributed motor architecture, the aircraft is designed to overcome the limitations of legacy seaplanes. Today, India remains one of Jekta’s strongest markets, alongside growing demand across the Middle East and Southeast Asia. With commitments such as MEHAIR’s 50-aircraft agreement, the PHA-ZE 100 is shaping a new model of sustainable, water-based mobility capable of connecting vast regions without the need for traditional airport infrastructure.
