Winter Aviation Summit 2025

Held in the heart of the Swiss mountains, the Winter Aviation Summit brings together leading experts in business aviation to explore the sector’s future. This year’s panel focused on the potential of electric and hydrogen propulsion in shaping a more sustainable and collaborative industry.

Over the past nine years, the Winter Aviation Summit (WAS) has emerged as a premier rendezvous for a select community of distinguished professionals in the business aviation sector. Delegates comprise experts engaged in various aspects of aircraft transactions, including procurement, sales, operations, maintenance, financing, and advisory services. WAS, which takes place against the background of the Swiss mountains, has established itself as an esteemed institution within the global business aviation arena. The summit’s delegates represent a diverse array of professionals spanning banking, legal, manufacturing, tax expertise, brokering, and more. WAS provides a comprehensive forum for the exchange of ideas, expertise, and collaboration among influential stakeholders in the dynamic realm of business aviation.

WAS is renowned for bringing together the brightest minds, thought leaders, and industry pioneers who provide invaluable insights into the future of aviation so I was delighted to be invited to join the panel exploring an electric aviation future. As we continue developing our PHA-ZE 100 amphibious aircraft, we recognize the potential of both electric and hydrogen propulsion, so I was grateful to be part of such an inspiring conversation. We have no crystal ball to predict the future, and there is still a long way to go. Still, with vision, planning, and ingenuity, the future of flight will welcome electric propulsion alongside hydrogen and hybrid options. We all agreed there is no one simple fix. As a sector, we need to continue collaboration and look for solutions within the sector and from other industries as we continue debating the reality of a business aviation sector powered by electric propulsion.
