Speaking at the hashtag#ZeroEmissionMediterranean 2024 event in Rome presented an excellent opportunity to interact with like-minded entrepreneurs and OEMs. During the event, we discussed the opportunities and challenges presented by future sustainable aviation and infrastructure. Sitting alongside peers from Pipistrel Aircraft, Diamond Aircraft, Ziga B. Kotnik and FLYING WHALES was wonderful as it allowed us to explore the potential of electric and hybrid propulsion systems in a dedicated environment. Change and evolution are often supported by academia, and it was fascinating to learn from leading Italian aeronautical universities about the advantages and disadvantages of electric and hybrid propulsion systems.
Thank you to the organizers for providing a platform to discuss these essential subjects. These events help move the needle for future aviation. They are necessary for creating and developing strategies that integrate the benefits of advanced air mobility into the global air transport network. I’ve returned to the office inspired and energized with new ideas as we continue developing the JEKTA zero-emissions PHA-ZE 100 amphibious aircraft.
