Jekta has signed a new agreement with Metavonics to integrate the company’s OpenMatrix® Hub, an open, modular avionics computer, into the PHA-ZE 100 zero-emission flying boat. The system centralizes multiple aircraft utility functions within a single lightweight control unit, reducing spare-part complexity, streamlining certification and enabling rapid software updates. By supporting tasks such as lighting control, non-critical sensors and health-monitoring data collection, the platform is designed to lower operating costs while future-proofing the aircraft’s auxiliary systems. The partnership positions Metavonics as a key supplier in Jekta’s development program, complementing existing collaborations with Honeywell as the PHA-ZE 100 advances toward production.
