MEHAIR orders 50 Jekta PHA-ZE 100 zero-emission amphibious aircraft, aiming to transform India’s regional connectivity with sustainable, low-cost operations across its extensive coastline and inland waterways

Jekta has secured a landmark order from Indian seaplane operator MEHAIR for fifty PHA-ZE 100 zero-emission amphibious aircraft, marking one of the largest commitments to sustainable regional aviation in Asia. The deal includes ten firm orders and forty options, with deliveries beginning in 2029. MEHAIR, a pioneer of seaplane services in India, sees the PHA-ZE 100 as a transformative tool for unlocking the country’s vast aquatic geography and supporting new routes under the UDAN regional connectivity scheme. With low operating costs, minimal infrastructure requirements and flexible cabin configurations, the aircraft is positioned to revolutionize travel between land- and water-based destinations across India’s expanding aviation network.
